Welcome to CV Maker (“we”, “us”, “our”, “the Platform”), available at cvmakeryou.com. These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the Platform, including our WordPress/WooCommerce-based CV building and subscription service. By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. About Us

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or use the Platform under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use our services.

3. Description of Service

CV Maker provides a step-by-step (wizard-style) tool that allows you to build a CV/resume by entering your personal, educational, and professional information. Based on your subscription plan, the Platform allows you to:

  • Generate and download your CV as a PDF
  • Generate a shareable online link to your CV
  • Choose among multiple templates and languages

We do not guarantee that using the Platform will result in employment or any specific career outcome. The Platform is a content-creation tool only.

4. Account Registration

  • You must create an account to use the Platform’s CV building features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and CV content.

5. Subscription and Billing

  • Access to CV Maker’s features is provided on a subscription basis (monthly or annual, as selected at checkout).
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Prices are listed in $ and may change from time to time; any price changes will be communicated in advance and will apply to future billing cycles only.
  • Payments are processed securely through our payment provider(s) integrated via WooCommerce. We do not store your full payment card details.
  • Refunds, where applicable, are governed by our Refund Policy or, absent one, are provided solely at our discretion.

6. User Content

  • You retain ownership of the personal and professional information you enter into the CV builder (“User Content”).
  • By using the Platform, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and format your User Content solely for the purpose of generating your CV (PDF, shareable link) and providing the service.
  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you include in your CV. We do not verify the truthfulness of any User Content.
  • You must not upload or enter any content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that impersonates another person.

7. Shareable CV Links

  • If you choose to generate a shareable link for your CV, that link may be accessible to anyone who has the URL. You are solely responsible for deciding whether and with whom to share this link.
  • You may deactivate or delete a shareable link at any time through your account.

8. Intellectual Property

  • All Platform elements — including but not limited to the CV templates, design, software, logos, and branding — are the property of CV Maker You and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
  • Subscribing to the Platform grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the templates solely for creating your own CV; you may not resell, redistribute, or repurpose the templates themselves.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, other users’ accounts, or our systems
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the Platform or its underlying software
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Platform without our written consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Platform available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the Platform for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control, and we are not liable for any resulting loss of access to your account or CV content.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CV Maker shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of employment opportunities, or reliance on generated CV content. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the [3/6/12] months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and requesting account deletion via support@cvmakeryou.com, subject to our Privacy Policy regarding data retention.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Turkey . Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bodrum.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform or by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
